Would you like to visit GeoNet?
GeoNet offers free tours of its Operations Centre in Lower Hutt to groups and organisations with an interest in geological hazards. Tours can be customised to the needs of a particular group. They will include an introduction to the people, equipment and operations that comprise the GeoNet project. Groups will also hear how the project contributes to a better understanding of geological hazards and enables improved planning for, response to and recovery from natural disasters.
GeoNet also offers talks to groups who are visiting the Volcanic Activity Centre at Wairakei. Explore the interactive education centre and also receive an introduction to the GeoNet project. Note that there is an entry fee to the centre.
