Science Alert Bulletin RUA-1996/60 - Update

Tremor levels at Dome were low for most of yesterday, but slightly elevated between about 16:00 and 18:00, and between 03:00 and 06:00 this morning. Bursts of low amplitude tremor of 0.5 to 3 minutes duration which occurred during these periods suggest that some minor ash emissions have occurred. Continuing bad weather this morning has prevented visual observations of the volcano.

The COSPEC gas flight originally planned for August 1 still has not occurred due to the poor weather conditions.

The Alert Level remains at 3.
