The moderate amplitude volcanic tremor that commenced at White Island at ca. 18:00h NZST on Friday 26 July is continuing at the time of writing. This seismic signal indicates a change in subsurface processes beneath White Island, but there are no observations that White Island is erupting at this time.
We advise the Alert Level remains at 1.
