Update
Home Island.
On 8 December 2006 a Royal New Zealand Air Force aircraft flew over Home Reef, Tonga. We have received the following report from the Royal New Zealand Air Force:
“Home Island located in position 18 59.4S 174 45.4W. Island is a circular shape of 450 m diameter vertical extent up to 240 feet. Venting was observed from crater with associated sulphur smell noticed by crew. Sediment was also clouding surrounding waters."
