Images
The following animations (mpegs) and images have all been collected from our volcano cameras.
The remote cameras are standard digital cameras and are usually run off solar panel and battery power supplies. They are controlled by software on a PC, which asks them to take a photo and downloads the file. The link between the PC and camera is usually a spread-spectrum radio modem. The files are then transferred to our data centres across VSAT data links.
